“Nobody said it was easy…  no one ever said it would be this hard…”

We live in a culture of hard work and grit.  We are conditioned that it is noble to do the hard things to reap the reward.

I know that I often catch myself spending far more time on how to tackle a project or problem, than actually tackling it.

This question from Tim Ferris (originally I think he picked it up from one of his guests) has stuck with me.

“What would this look like if it were easy?”

We are often so obsessed with doing hard work… we don’t often stop to question if it actually needs to be hard.  What if it didn’t have to be?  What if there was a way to start right now and get the results you want…. Easily?

Asking the question is an important springboard for confronting your own stories, or pre-conceived notions/limitations that lead you down the difficult path.

I created a very simple (and, yes, easy) worksheet for this approach… and I’m sharing it with all of below.  If it can be helpful, please use it and share it.  You can print it, or use it on a digital medium – ReMarkable, Kindle Scribe, iPad, etc.

Enjoy!
